The second quarter of the year and our second blog – the bar is rising… you would be forgiven for thinking there’s a pattern emerging!
So, as before, we're still burning the candle at both ends, the coffee is getting stronger and the cups have grown in to mugs. However we have hidden the biscuit tin as we are all on a health kick - even Joe!
It's been a whirlwind couple of months – and we’ve survived Mad March as the folks in ACA like to refer to it. New people, new processes and a new found drive and determination have helped, though, and it’s fair to say that we're ahead of curve - which is so incredible. We're seeing positive returns for all our efforts, every department up on last year!!
Our biggest internal project is improving our Quality processes throughout the business - as you know we're currently running three separate themes; BRC & ISO 9001 & 14001. It's a big ask but a necessity if we're to achieve our goals.
Back in early November one of our key customers audited the business on our readiness for BRC - needless to say feedback that day was very poor, almost critical. Improvement was required immediately and as a business we've worked so hard to make progress and fulfil the commitments to the clients we have.
So out of the blue last week the "said" customer decided to turn up unannounced, for a surprise spot check! Can you imagine? Making good on our promises, the team’s development since November ensured that the evidence was visible to the visitors. The work and progression continues at pace but wow, what a great feeling to see the majority of the audit spreadsheet move from red to green. This is real tangible progress and long may it continue. So take a bow ACA.
Heidelberg offered us an opportunity to be the visitors this time and we ventured to Brentford for their open house event. The whole day was spent understanding the impressive technology advances from the print masters and how they’ll fit in to the plans to continue driving ACA forward.
ACA Print Finishing & Packaging Solutions are changing for the better, we're changing perceptions from who we used to be and that's critically important to how we will be perceived in the future.
We're open for business, come and see us, let's talk.
